[ dorothy, we ain't in richmond hill anymore ]

first post on my new laptop! yeah yeah! beautiful asus u80v (refer to a few posts back)

so i remember, way back when disaster movies seem to be they hype ( ref. twister, day after tomorrow, armageddon, the core, etc) i told myself. we're in richmond hill. we're too far inland for any of that stuff to happen. tornadoes and hurricanes can't form so far inland. and we're not a coastal city so tidal waves won't be a problem.

and then today happened. sun usually sets at around 8 30. it's 7 right now, and its almost totally dark outside. looking into my backyard everything looks "smoggy" because of the rain. the thunder makes it sound like we're under an air raid. the lightning is lighting up my entire backyard. half an hour ago, the radio told me a tornado touched down a block away. weather forecast shows a storm that's totally red. i'm not sure what that means, but red is never a good colour. rogers wireless is down so my cell phone is next to useless.

never thought this could happen in sunny richmond hill.

guess your hill isn't so humdrum anymore huh myles.
